Health care recruiting case study

Challenge: As part of a recruiting team for a staffing agency, we supported a large health care organization which was experiencing significant gaps in service levels and had many open positions and slower than desired recruitment and sourcing times. This organization had an immediate need to help fill their staffing gaps for experienced nurses. The company urgently needed nurses with health care industry knowledge in specific areas. Positions that needed to be filled included: registered nurses (RN’s) with various levels of experience, licensed vocational nurses (LVN’s), certified nursing assistants (CAN’s) patient care technicians (PCT’s). Finding compatible nurses for the health system was essential because they wanted to increase experience levels among its nursing workforce for the long term. In addition, they needed to fill positions in less accessible geographic locations.

Needs Assessment: After diagnosing our client’s needs, we took a divide and conquer approach with tasks assigned both internal and external recruiters working together.

Solution Implemented: Our collaborative process included efficient process management to simplify task assignments. We defined project deliverables for both internal and external teams. These milestones helped to prepare for the internal interviews and to coordinate scheduling.

Results Achieved: As a result of Ethos Global’s effective sourcing and screening process, needed qualified candidates were provided to our client allowing internal recruiters to focus on the most qualified candidates during their selection process. Our team of five sourcing recruiters provided 220 resumes of qualified candidates to our client monthly or over 2,600 in the year we support their urgent staffing and hiring needs. The organization hired over 750 nurses to provide quality patient care.

Through strong project management, collaboration with our client, Ethos Global helped keep candidates engaged, building a talent pipeline for our client.
